Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the website and services of DiscovOri Transformational Coaching & Counseling, a DBA of Dynamic Alignment Enterprise LLC (“DiscovOri,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may share it. By using our website or services, you accept the practices described here.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
1. Who We Are
DiscovOri Transformational Coaching & Counseling is led by Rev. Michaelia Daubon and Bishop Andrew Daubon and operates as a DBA of Dynamic Alignment Enterprise LLC. We serve clients in person and virtually through coaching, counseling, mentorship, and leadership development.
2. What We Collect
When you engage with our services, you may share personal information with us directly, including:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Intake forms, assessment responses, and notes from your coaching or counseling history
- Payment and billing details processed through Square, Stripe, or Cash App
- Messages and communications you send us
- Registration and participation data from programs or events
- SMS opt-in consent, including the type of messages consented to and the date consent was given
Sensitive Information
The nature of our work means that what you share with us often includes sensitive personal information – trauma histories, mental health disclosures, relationship dynamics, sexual and relational concerns, family history, and matters of faith. This information is treated with particular care. It is held in confidence, used only in the direct service of your care, and never disclosed to third parties except in the specific circumstances described in these policies. If you are ever unsure about how something you share will be handled, ask your provider before sharing it.
Counseling Records and Protected Health Information (PHI)
When services are provided in a counseling capacity, certain information collected during that engagement – including intake assessments, session notes, treatment-related communications, and clinical documentation – may constitute protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. PHI collected in a counseling context is handled in accordance with the Notice of Privacy Practices provided to you at intake and is subject to the access, retention, and disclosure standards required by HIPAA and Massachusetts mental health law. Coaching records are maintained separately and are not treated as PHI unless services are provided in a clinical context.
Limited technical data is also collected automatically when you visit our website – browser type, IP address, pages visited, time on site, and referring source. This data helps us understand how the site is being used and is not linked to your identity.
3. How We Use It
The information collected through our website and services is used for the following purposes:
- Scheduling and delivering coaching and counseling services
- Sending appointment reminders, confirmations, and program updates
- Processing payments and sending receipts or invoices
- Delivering digital content, resources, and follow-up materials
- Sending SMS communications where you have opted in
- Improving our programs, website, and client experience
- Meeting legal and professional obligations
How Counseling Records Are Used
Information collected in a counseling context that constitutes PHI is governed by HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices you received at intake. That information is used only for treatment, payment, and standard health care operations. Counseling records are not used for marketing, program improvement, or any purpose outside the clinical relationship unless you give explicit written authorization.
4. SMS and Text Message Communications
When you opt in to receive texts from DiscovOri, you are consenting to receive the type of messages indicated on the form at the time of opt-in. We collect SMS consent separately from general form submission. Providing your phone number does not automatically enroll you in text communications.
Service Texts
If you opt in to service-related messages, we may send appointment reminders, session confirmations, enrollment updates, event information, and delivery of content you have requested.
Promotional Texts
If you separately opt in to marketing communications, we may send information about programs, events, offers, and ministry updates.
Message frequency varies. You may receive between 2 and 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
To unsubscribe, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email [email protected].
No mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, will be shared, sold, rented, transferred, or disclosed to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information in these circumstances:
With vendors who help us operate our services, such as scheduling tools, payment processors, and email or SMS platforms – these vendors are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes
With your written consent
Where required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the safety of individuals
Payment details are processed directly through Square, Stripe, or Cash App. Dynamic Alignment Enterprise LLC does not store full payment card numbers.
6. Data Security
Records are kept as long as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations, and maintain professional standards. Coaching records are retained in accordance with standard business practice. Counseling records are subject to Massachusetts law, which requires a minimum retention period of 7 years from the date of last service or 3 years after a minor client turns 18, whichever is longer.
To request deletion of your personal data, contact [email protected]. Some records cannot be deleted early due to legal or professional requirements – if that applies to your request, we will explain why and what options are available to you.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Access to client records is limited to authorized personnel only. No internet-based system is completely secure, and by using our services, you acknowledge that limitation.
8. Your Rights
Your information belongs to you. Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of anything that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
These are not procedural formalities – they are real rights, and we will honor them. To make any request, reach out at [email protected].
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has submitted information to us without appropriate parental consent, contact us right away, and we will address it promptly.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party sites or resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
